Grade II listed Preston Cottage was built in 1547 by the De Trafford family and was originally 3 cottages.

Eden was engaged alongside architect Calder Peel secure planning and listed building consent for the demolition of an existing garage, erection of a replacement garage and a contemporary extension to the existing dwelling together with an amended site access and landscaping works. 

The aspiration from the client and the design team was to create a sustainable solution for its future, for Preston Cottage to become a modern desirable home – ensuring it’s longevity.  Listed building and planning consent were secured in 2017 and progressed to completion in 2020.
