Working for McGoff Construction, Eden Planning has secured planning permission for the redevelopment of the former Nick’s Bar into a new two-storey property.
Comprising a commercial ground floor with a two-bedroom apartment above, the proposal has been designed to replicate the original former public house, ensuring it positively responds to the character and appearance of the Stamford Road Conservation Area. This was achieved in conjunction with the Council, heritage consultant Paul Butler Associates, and Howard Seddon Architects.
The development is the gateway to the wider Downs Quarter development – a significant residential scheme that introduces a mix of apartments, townhouses, and live work units to Altrincham’s town centre. As one of the flagship residential schemes within Altrincham, the scheme is contributing towards its successful regeneration.
Eden Planning is working closely with McGoff Construction to secure the timely discharge of conditions to allow for its continued development and speedy occupation.
