Sitting on the shore of Lake Windermere, Longtail Cottage was a relatively small turn of the century cottage requiring modernisation.

Eden was engaged by the property owner to support Calder Peel in realising their dream of a luxury family dwelling with ancillary guest accommodation within the heart of the National Park.

Set within gardens and grounds extending to over 17 acres and incorporating lawns, fields, stabling barn and mature woodland (Longtail Wood) leading down to 450ft of lake frontage within White Cross Bay along with a stone-built boathouse, Longtail Cottage emerged as a  substantially extended bespoke family home over three levels.

Eden’s role included securing planning permission granted for the replacement dwelling, boat house, and barn for ancillary accommodation, dredging, landscaping and access.
