Eden Planning supported Jigsaw Homes North in submitting a full planning application for a specialised housing development (Use Class 3(a)), designed to provide on-site assistance for individuals at risk of homelessness.

Addressing a critical need for specialist housing, the proposal consists of 24 self-contained apartments within a part single-storey, part two-storey building, set amidst landscaped gardens. The development will be accessed via a newly constructed entrance and parking area.

Designed by DK Architects, the scheme fosters an inclusive community, helping residents achieve independence and transition into alternative accommodation.

To meet key funding deadlines and enable a site start in March 2024, Eden worked closely with Manchester City Council to ensure a timely decision. This smooth process was made possible through proactive pre-application engagement, securing early support from officers for this fully affordable housing initiative.
